Run Greece Alexandroupoli race sets new course records
The Run Greece race in Alexandroupoli, the penultimate stop before the season finale in Piraeus, concluded with several new course records. Despite windy conditions, high-level competition led to record-breaking times in both the 5km and 10km categories.
In the 10km race, Dimitris Tsakalos secured first place with a time of 31:40, while Nancy Kokkorou won the women's division in 35:46. The 5km race saw Alexandros Nako take the men's victory in 15:19, and Nikoleta Rafailaki won the women's race in 17:12.
Organized by SEGAS in collaboration with local authorities, the event also featured a Kids Athletics program and a Family Run. As part of its social initiative, one euro from each registration fee was donated to the NGO Xenios o Zeus.
