Runcorn Linnets appoint Jacques Welsh and Peter Wylie as management duo

Runcorn Linnets have confirmed that interim player-manager Jacques Welsh and assistant Peter Wylie will remain in charge of the NPL West side until the end of the season. The decision follows the resignation of Michael Ellison earlier this month.

Chairman Peter Cartledge stated that the duo has overseen a significant improvement in team form, performance, and club morale, having secured seven points out of a possible 12 during their interim period.

In their most recent fixture, the club played to a 2-2 draw against Vauxhall Motors. Despite two goals from 17-year-old Harry Gerrard, a last-minute goal by Kian Bell was disallowed by referee Kyle Lord following a controversial foul on goalkeeper Jack Atkinson.
