RuneScape: Dragonwilds gets major 0.12.1 Agility overhaul

Jagex announced on July 29 that the 0.12.1 update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds is now live. The patch revamps the Agility skill, adding six fixed agility courses across the Ashenfall continent, each with its own leaderboard. Players who record gold‑medal times earn gold medals and gold‑trimmed regional capes.

New movement mechanics let characters perform a horizontal dash during a double jump and, at higher levels, a second aerial dash. Running on foot awards passive experience, while fall damage is mitigated by a tuck‑and‑roll animation. Energy consumption while sprinting is reduced and inventory capacity is increased. Kebbit burrows scattered around the world can be excavated to create fast‑travel tunnels.

The update also refines combat and UI systems: block response is faster, damage telegraph times are adjusted, ammo switching is added, and spell‑casting now slows movement less. The Mystic Forge now upgrades Masterworks and weapons to higher tiers. Jagex revealed that physical editions for PlayStation and Xbox will be released on September 15, alongside digital deluxe versions.
