Runner film follows Alan Ritchson in high-stakes medical delivery mission

The 2026 action-comedy film ‘Runner’, directed by Scott Waugh, follows Hank Malone, a former Navy SEAL and courier played by Alan Ritchson. Malone accepts a mission to transport a donated liver across Brisbane, Australia, to save a young girl.

The mission becomes a race against time when a criminal family, led by Damian Zaldívar (played by Rodrigo Santoro), attempts to intercept the organ for their own use. Malone is accompanied by Ben Bishop, played by Owen Wilson, whose fast-talking personality provides comedic relief against the film's high-stakes action.

Reviews highlight the chemistry between Ritchson and Wilson, noting Ritchson’s ability to balance physical action with a restrained performance, while Wilson provides the necessary comic timing to balance the tension.
