Running competitions scheduled in Argentina and Peru
Various running events are scheduled across South America. In Argentina, the tenth edition of the Héroes trail running competition is set for October 3 and 4. Organizer Federico Mouillerón noted that the event, which began in 2011, offers four modalities, including a 40 km challenge split over two days or a 20 km challenge.
Additionally, the fifth edition of the Desafío UTU Ultra Trail is taking place in Capilla del Monte. The event includes several distances ranging from 10K to 70K, with the main races starting from the Eco Camping Calabalumba on Sunday. The schedule includes a Vertical Kilometer event and youth categories.
In Peru, Universitario de Deportes is organizing the second Carrera Monumental Bitel 8K on September 27, 2026. Supported by Bitel, the race will feature 5G connectivity activations and provides participants with special edition Marathon kits.
