Running events in Catalonia see high engagement

Two distinct sporting events in the Catalonia region are drawing significant attention. In Lloret de Mar, the 6th edition of the Panic Race is scheduled for October 24. This family-oriented Halloween-themed event features a 2 km course through a forest, incorporating actors, themed scenery, and a costume contest. The festivities include a musical children's show and a traditional Castanyada celebration.

Meanwhile, the 17th Costa Barcelona Maresme Half Marathon has reached an unprecedented milestone by selling out all 2,200 available bibs three months in advance. The race, scheduled for October 25, will run from Pineda de Mar to Calella. Organizers at Gesport noted that demand far exceeded their initial projections, prompting them to increase the participant limit from 2,000 to 2,200 to accommodate interest, though they ultimately had to cap entries to prevent overcrowding at the finish line.
