Running events in Italy see record participation and winners

Various running events took place in Italy, including the third edition of the Trail del Diamante in Genoa and the fourth Ca’ del Poggio Run in the Prosecco Hills.

At the Trail del Diamante, organizers from Podistica Peralto had to reduce the Ultra course to match the 24.3 km trail distance due to last-minute circumstances. Nicola Poggi won the men's category with a time of 2h 18’ 43”, while Denise Zacco took first place in the women's category with a time of 2h 37’ 32”. In the medium distance category, Filippo Scuderi secured first place.

The Ca’ del Poggio Run saw a record-breaking turnout of 3,000 participants. The event featured multiple routes, including a half marathon, a 19 km race, and 5 km and 10 km options, traversing the municipalities of Conegliano, San Pietro di Feletto, and Vittorio Veneto. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Bernardi Foundation, Zuppa di Sasso, and Ricrearti Lab.
