Running events in Kalisz, Warka, and Poznań to cause traffic disruptions

Several major running events are scheduled across various Polish cities, leading to significant local traffic and public transport disruptions.

In Kalisz, the 45th jubilee edition of the Ptolemy Run expects over 1,200 participants. The event includes student races, a preschooler run, a 10 km main race, and will cause traffic and parking restrictions on Sunday between 10:00 and 15:30.

Warka will host the 21st Pułaski Run on October 11. The program features youth races, a specialized run for occupational therapy workshop participants, a 10 km main race, and a 5 km Nordic Walking march. Organizers have warned of both permanent and temporary traffic disruptions within the city.

Poznań is preparing for the 25th Poznań Marathon. The route will pass through major landmarks including the Old Market Square and Enea Stadium. City officials have announced phased changes to tram lines and the deployment of 10 additional tram lines to assist with public transport during the event.
