Running events organized in Corregidora and Villa Unión

Various running events are being organized across Mexico to promote physical activity and community engagement.

In Corregidora, Querétaro, approximately 2,000 participants took part in the “Corregidora Rumbo al Querétaro Maratón 2026” race. Organized by the Instituto del Deporte y la Recreación del Estado de Querétaro (INDEREQ), the event featured 5km and 10km categories for both men and women. Key winners included Selene Martínez in the women's 5km and Ángel Manzo in the men's 10km.

In Coahuila, the ejido La Azufrosa in Villa Unión is preparing for a 5K race scheduled for September 5. Organized by the Comisariado Ejidal de La Azufrosa, the Villa Unión municipal government, and Grupo Galgos, the event aims to promote rural tourism and healthy lifestyles through running in natural landscapes.
