Running events scheduled in Alcalá de Henares and Valencia

Several running events are scheduled to take place in Spain on Sunday, September 20, 2026, affecting local mobility and participation.

In Alcalá de Henares, the 25th Legua Popular El Val will feature a 5.5-kilometer course for adults and shorter distances for children in categories sub-8, sub-10, and sub-12. The event starts at 10:00, with the route beginning at Avenida de la Virgen del Val and concluding near the Ronda del Henares. Registration for adult categories is already full.

In Valencia, the 48th Volta a Peu of the Sant Marcel·lí and Sant Isidre neighborhoods will take place, covering a 5-kilometer route starting at 9:00. The race will cause significant traffic and parking restrictions, particularly on Avenida Tres Creus, which will be closed from 6:00 until approximately 11:15. The event will also impact eight EMT Valencia bus lines.
