Runway reaches $5.3 billion valuation following $315 million Series E round

Runway, the generative AI video company, has reached a $5.3 billion post-money valuation following a $315 million Series E funding round in February 2026. The round was led by General Atlantic, with participation from Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Adobe Ventures, Fidelity Management & Research, AllianceBernstein, Mirae Asset, Felicis, and Premji Invest.

The company has experienced rapid financial growth, crossing $200 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) after doubling its revenue in approximately five months. In the second quarter of 2026 alone, Runway added $40 million in net new ARR. This acceleration is largely driven by enterprise adoption, with a reported net revenue retention rate exceeding 300%.

Technologically, Runway’s Gen-4.5 model recently secured the top position on the Artificial Analysis text-to-video leaderboard, outperforming Google Veo 3. To support its global expansion, the New York-based firm opened offices in Tokyo, London, and Paris during mid-2026.
