Ružomberok region hosts weekend cultural and sporting programme in early August

A varied weekend programme has been announced for the Ružomberok area in Slovakia. The historic "Korýtko" narrow‑gauge train will run again between the main station and Zápalkáreň, offering rides for visitors.

Cultural events include the 15th edition of the Liptovské Sliače folk festival, the Liptovské Days of Mothers, and the 28th Revúcke halušky cooking competition, each featuring traditional music, dance and local food. Sports fans can attend a preparatory football match in Bešeňová ahead of the new league season.

Kino Kultúra will screen several films, such as "Spider‑Man: New Day", "Kavej 2", and "Mimoni a monštrá", adding a cinematic dimension to the weekend’s activities.
