RuPaul comedy film Stop! That! Train! released in UK

The comedy film ‘Stop! That! Train!’ has arrived in UK cinemas following its US release in June. Directed by Adam Shankman, the movie stars RuPaul as President Judy Gagwell and features Sarah Michelle Gellar in a recurring cameo.

The plot follows two best friends, Tess and DeeDee, who transition from a budget railway to the luxury Glamazonian Express. The duo must collaborate with first-class attendants and the President to prevent a catastrophic ‘Stormaganza’ from derailing the high-speed train into Los Angeles.

Actor and comedian Matt Rogers, who plays the President’s press secretary, discussed his role and his experience working with RuPaul. The film has received positive critical reception, holding an 84% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with reviewers describing it as a ‘madcap riot’ and a ‘fan valentine’ to drag culture.
