RuPaul's Drag Race UK returns for eighth season

RuPaul's Drag Race UK has returned for its eighth season on BBC Three, introducing a new cohort of contestants referred to as 'Generation Ru'. These performers describe themselves as being inspired by previous iterations of the franchise.

Contestants such as Mocha, a fashion-focused performer from Essex, and London-based queen Flesh, noted that the show has influenced their artistic development. The competition features a diverse cast, including Lucky Roy Singh, the first Sikh South Asian queen to compete in the UK edition.

Over a ten-week period, the queens will participate in various challenges, including runway looks and lip-sync battles, to compete for the title of the UK's next drag superstar and a £25,000 cash prize.
