Rupert Grint to reprise Ron Weasley role on Broadway

British actor Rupert Grint will return to the role of Ron Weasley in a limited Broadway engagement. Rather than a film, the actor will perform in the stage production ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ at the Lyric Theatre in New York.

Grint is set to portray an adult version of the character, depicting Ron as a father. The engagement is scheduled for a 17-week run, beginning on February 2, 2027, and concluding on May 30, 2027. This marks the first time Grint has reprised the role since the conclusion of the original film franchise in 2011.
