Rupert Grint warns Mexico will be tough opponent for England at World Cup 2026

Actor Rupert Grint, best known for playing Ron Weasley, said the Mexico national football team is a “very difficult” side to beat ahead of their knockout‑stage clash with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In interviews he called Mexico the toughest opponent England could face in the tournament and expressed concern over the Mexican team's current form.

Grint also noted his lifelong love of football, recalling childhood memories of the World Cup, and said he would like to see England reach the final to play Argentina, describing a potential England‑Argentina final as a historic “revenge” of past World Cup encounters.
