Rupert Lowe and Nigel Farage plan right‑wing coalition ahead of UK election

Rupert Lowe, leader of the newly formed Restore Britain party, publicly offered cooperation with Nigel Farage's Reform UK to unite the right‑wing and defeat Labour in the next parliamentary election. In a 12‑minute video posted on X, Lowe said, “I really believe there is sufficient common ground for our two movements to cooperate against the threatening left‑wing alliance.”

Farage responded on X, promising to build a “broad coalition” and urging supporters to set aside personal differences. The proposed alliance would pursue a far‑right agenda, including stricter immigration controls, mass deportations, bans on sharia courts, burkas and cousin marriages, and a referendum on reinstating the death penalty. Restore Britain, founded after Lowe was expelled from Reform UK in 2025, positions itself further right and has received backing from figures such as Elon Musk. Both parties see an early election as likely and aim to mobilise voters who have never voted before.
