Rurabilandia social farm shines at Insieme Festival in Abruzzo

The Rurabilandia social and educational farm of ASP 2 in Teramo took center stage at the inaugural Insieme – Festival del Sociale, organized by the Abruzzo region and held from July 24 to 26 at the Parco del Castello dell’Aquila. The farm’s food‑truck attracted families, local officials and third‑sector operators, showcasing inclusive employment for people with disabilities through dishes such as arrosticini and cacio‑e‑ove. Performances by the Rurabilandia youth, including the popular “Et Voilà” show, earned enthusiastic applause and opened the prospect of a future show at the Teatro Stabile dell’Aquila. Over sixty third‑sector organisations attended, exchanging best practices and meeting regional directors and speakers who discussed improvements to social service planning. Regional Social Policies Assessor Roberto Santangelo and ASP 2 commissioner Giulia Palestini praised the event as a bold, innovative model that blends social inclusion with cultural engagement.
