Rural Chilean students to visit Estadio Monumental

Students from rural schools under the Servicio Local de Educación Pública (SLEP) Puerto Cordillera are scheduled to visit the Estadio Monumental in Santiago on October 30. The group will attend the football match between Colo-Colo and Universidad de Concepción as part of a national championship event.

The initiative, led by physical education teacher Manuel Barrera, aims to promote sports and provide new learning experiences for students from communities including Totoralillo, San Rafael, and Las Cardas. The trip follows a recent interaction where Colo-Colo players and executives extended an invitation to the students during a club visit to the region. The program seeks to use professional sports as a tool for personal development, teamwork, and healthy living.
