Rural development groups in Spain approve significant regional aid

Rural development groups in Spain have approved significant funding packages to support local projects through the LEADER program and the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) 2023-2027 framework.

In the Serranía de Cuenca, the PRODESE Rural Development Group has disbursed 259,000 euros in aid for eleven projects across ten municipalities. These funds, which mobilize a total investment of 422,000 euros, support initiatives from town halls, freelancers, and small businesses. Projects include the creation of a rural marketing firm in Sotos, a creative guild center in Cañete, and various infrastructure improvements such as medical clinic renovations in Valdemeca and sports facility upgrades in Mariana.

In the Condado de Huelva, the ADERCON association has provisionally approved over 907,000 euros in aid, part of a larger investment exceeding one million euros. Funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (FEADER) and the Junta de Andalucía, these initiatives aim to boost the regional socio-economic fabric. ADERCON leadership noted the rapid mobilization of funds within five months of the application window opening.
