Rural Electrification Projects Launched in Argentina and Peru
Governor Leandro Zdero of Argentina inaugurated a new rural electrification work in the El Puca area of Chaco province, part of the provincial Luz Rural program. He highlighted that the project brings electricity to families who have waited years, aiming to keep residents in the countryside and improve production and living conditions.
In Peru, the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM) completed four rural electrification projects in the Ancash, Ayacucho and Huancavelica regions, investing more than 17 million soles. The works extend power to 44 localities, benefiting 4 361 inhabitants and nearly 1 000 homes, with the goal of reducing energy gaps and fostering social and economic development in the highlands.
