Ruse culinary workshop promotes inclusion for children with special needs

Children with special needs and their parents participated in a culinary workshop in Ruse, Bulgaria, designed to foster independence and social inclusion through occupational therapy.

Led by occupational therapist Zdravka Genova from the Theosis Association, the session took place at Intriga Restaurant, which provided the space and necessary ingredients. Participants engaged in various stages of food preparation, from ingredient handling to cooking. The initiative aimed to help children develop practical skills, concentration, coordination, and self-confidence.

The Theosis Association emphasized that such real-world activities allow children to build skills applicable outside of a therapeutic environment, promoting a sense of achievement and responsibility.
