Ruse Mayor and Bulgarian Red Cross discuss partnership expansion

Ruse Mayor Pencho Milkov met with Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) Director General Krasimir Gigov and other senior officials to discuss deepening the cooperation between the Ruse Municipality and the humanitarian organization.

The meeting took place in Ruse during the BRC National Council’s first session held outside its usual headquarters. During the discussions, Mayor Milkov expressed gratitude for the BRC’s consistent support during previous crises, specifically citing the COVID-19 pandemic and the reception of Ukrainian refugees.

Director General Gigov emphasized that mutual trust and shared responsibility are essential for successful joint initiatives. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to working together to provide timely assistance and protection to citizens in need and to strengthen community solidarity.
