Ruse to commemorate 141 years of Bulgarian Unification
The city of Ruse will hold a ceremonial event on September 6 to mark the 141st anniversary of the Unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia. The commemoration is organized by the Ruse Municipality and will begin at 11:30 AM at the Monument to the Fallen in the Serbo-Bulgarian War on Prince Alexander Battenberg Square.
The ceremony will include a tribute to the heroes of the unification, featuring a guard of honor from Military Formation 32420 – Ruse. Priests from the Holy Metropolis of Ruse will conduct a thanksgiving service. The festive program will feature musical performances by Hristo Kostov, the Municipal Brass Band conducted by Dimcho Rubchev, and the Sun Children's Vocal Group.
As part of the official ritual, wreaths and flowers will be laid at the monument. The municipality has invited citizens and guests to join the celebration to honor this historical symbol of national unity.
