Ruse to host second Urban Wine Fest featuring 40 Bulgarian wines

The second edition of the Urban Wine Fest – Ruse is scheduled to take place on October 2 and 3 at Svoboda Square in Ruse. Organized by the Bulgarian Association of Wine Professionals, the event marks the beginning of a month dedicated to Bulgarian wine and precedes International Mavrud Day on October 26.

The festival will feature a selection of over 40 Bulgarian wines from small producers, showcasing 15 local grape varieties. A specialized wine bar will allow professionals to present both well-known and lesser-known local varieties to visitors.

In addition to wine tasting, the event includes urban culinary offerings from various chefs and producers, alongside a musical program featuring DJ Groovy George, the Lockdown Party Band, Big Band Ruse, and Mary Boys Band. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the Ruse Municipality.
