Rusev denies rumors of joining new WWE Raw faction

WWE wrestler Rusev has dismissed reports regarding a potential new faction on Raw that would include him, Ethan Page, and Big Cass. In an interview with TMZ’s Inside the Ring, Rusev characterized the rumors as “internet booking,” stating that he has received no official pitch from WWE creative regarding the group.

Reports from Fightful Select indicate that the rumored plan has not been communicated to Rusev, Ethan Page, or Big Cass. Rusev also expressed personal friction with Ethan Page, noting that Page began teaming with Big Cass while Rusev was sidelined due to injury and illness. Rusev indicated he is not interested in being associated with Page under those circumstances.

Rusev has been off television since July after experiencing numbness in his hands and dealing with an illness. While he has been medically cleared and recently worked house shows in Hawaii, he is still awaiting clearance for weekly programming.
