Rusev expected to return to WWE following injury and illness

WWE Superstar Rusev has been absent from television since July 27, following a match against Je'Von Evans on Monday Night RAW. While initial speculation suggested dissatisfaction with the company, reports indicate the absence was due to injury and illness.

During his match with Evans, Rusev reportedly landed awkwardly on his neck, causing his hands to go numb. Despite the numbness worsening, he reportedly attempted to finish the bout. Following the match, he was placed in concussion protocol.

After being granted several weeks off to recover, Rusev returned to the WWE Performance Center but subsequently dealt with an undisclosed illness. He was awaiting medical clearance last week and is expected to return to action later this month.
