Rush to film Toronto residency for potential concert film

Canadian rock band Rush is filming four of its upcoming "Fifty Something Tour" shows at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on August 7, 9, 11, and 13 for a potential live concert film. Geddy Lee noted that Toronto was selected as a natural choice for their hometown residency, providing the opportunity to capture a wide repertoire of over 40 songs.

The tour features original members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, joined by new drummer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold. Lee emphasized that the current tour serves as both a celebration of the band's history and a tribute to the late Neil Peart.

In related news, the band's 1976 album "2112" has been certified 4x Platinum. To celebrate, a 50th-anniversary liquid vinyl edition of the album and a vinyl release of "The Spirit of Radio: Greatest Hits 1974–1987" are scheduled for release on October 2.
