Russia accused of using religious funds to expand influence
Reports based on Moldovan intelligence suggest Russia has utilized millions of dollars in religious donations to expand its influence and undermine Turkish interests. These efforts reportedly target Orthodox churches in Gagauzia to promote a ‘Great Orthodox Russia’ concept, aiming to weaken both Turkish and Western influence in the region.
In a related geopolitical shift, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia is withdrawing from the Collective Security Treaty, stating that the nation no longer requires Russian presence and that Turkey is sufficient for its needs.
