Russia accuses West of undermining international law and CIS stability

The Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) has accused certain Western nations of attempting to undermine the international legal system and destabilize the military-political situation near the borders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

These statements were released following the 22nd meeting of the heads of security and intelligence services of the CIS member states. According to the SVR, Western efforts to maintain global dominance are leading to significant instability. In response, intelligence representatives from the member states agreed to expand cooperation and coordinate actions to counter what they described as ‘destructive intentions’ from hostile states.

Separately, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that a final agreement to end the conflict could be reached primarily between Russia and Ukraine, suggesting that while other countries can assist, the core resolution lies between those two nations.
