Russia and China negotiate cross-border cargo drone routes

Russia and China are actively negotiating the establishment of cross-border routes for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to facilitate cargo transport. Dmitry Yadrov, head of the Russian Air Transport Agency, confirmed that discussions are underway, with a pilot project proposed for Blagoveshchensk.

This initiative follows statements from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who expressed openness to cooperating with partners in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other alliances to develop new unmanned transport corridors. The move comes amid global supply chain concerns and geopolitical tensions, with analysts noting the need for alternative land and air corridors to secure the flow of goods and energy.
