Russia begins deliveries of Il-114-300 regional aircraft

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has announced that the country is beginning the first deliveries of the Il-114-300 regional turboprop aircraft. The move is part of a national effort to modernize commercial aviation fleets and reduce reliance on foreign suppliers by utilizing components manufactured entirely within Russia.

The Il-114-300 is designed to carry between 52 and 68 passengers, serving as a modernized replacement for older models such as the Antonov An-24. While Manturov indicated that deliveries are commencing, there is conflicting information regarding whether any aircraft have actually been handed over to customers. Some reports suggest deliveries have already begun, but official timelines from state-owned lessor GTLK indicate the first three production aircraft are destined for Arctic Airlines (the 2nd Arkhangelsk United Aviation Squadron) with a transfer expected by the end of 2026.

In addition to the Il-114-300, Manturov noted progress in the serial production of the Tu-214 and stated that the MC-21 and SJ-100 aircraft have entered final flight testing and certification stages.
