Russia captures two settlements in Ukraine's Kharkiv region

Russian forces have seized control of the settlements of Pólnaya and Novoalexándrovka in the Kharkiv region of Ukraine. According to reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Northern group of troops expanded its controlled zone through these actions.

In a single day of combat, Russian military reports claim over 1,400 Ukrainian personnel were killed across various operational sectors. Specifically, the Center group reported over 430 casualties, the North group over 265, the East group over 260, the West group over 220, the South group over 215, and the Dnieper group approximately 50.

In addition to personnel losses, the reports state that Ukrainian forces lost significant equipment, including one tank, 10 armored combat vehicles, 94 cars, two multiple rocket launcher systems, 20 artillery pieces (including M777 and Paladin systems), six electronic warfare stations, and a U.S.-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery station. Russian air defenses reportedly intercepted four guided bombs, four Himars projectiles, and 634 drones.
