Russia claims 1,175 Ukrainian soldiers killed in 24 hours
The Russian Ministry of Defense claims that Ukraine lost approximately 1,175 soldiers during its special military operation within a 24-hour period. According to reports from the TASS news agency, the losses were distributed across several Russian battle groups: the North group reported 190, West reported 200, South reported over 210, Center reported approximately 350, East reported 205, and the Dnepr group reported about 20.
Russian air defense systems reportedly intercepted 391 fixed-wing drones. The Ministry of Defense also stated that Russian forces targeted Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure, drone assembly workshops, storage sites, launch sites, ammunition depots, and temporary locations for Ukrainian soldiers and foreign fighters.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russia of deliberately targeting Ukraine's energy systems. He reported that Russian strikes hit energy infrastructure in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi, noting that large-scale attacks on critical infrastructure continue.
