Russia claims capture of two Ukrainian settlements amid ongoing strikes

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the capture of two Ukrainian settlements: Shcherbakivka in the Kharkiv region and Nove Pole in the Zaporizhzhia region. Russian officials stated that the seizure of Shcherbakivka is a significant step in the struggle for the Ukrainian logistics center operating in Kozacsa Lopany. According to Russian reports, troops have made advances on five of the six active Ukrainian fronts.

In separate developments, Ukrainian authorities reported casualties resulting from Russian aerial attacks. In the Kherson region, a drone strike killed at least two people and injured another. Additionally, Russian forces targeted infrastructure in the Black Sea port city of Odesa, striking a multi-story residential building and port facilities. While Russian sources claim significant Ukrainian military losses and the destruction of a patrol boat, these claims have not been confirmed by Ukrainian officials.
