Russia claims control of Ukrainian positions and NATO weaponry

Russian forces have claimed control over a significant Ukrainian defensive area, including the village of Chervona Krynytsia in the Zaporizhzhia region. Following the seizure of these positions, Russian commanders reported discovering a large cache of NATO-manufactured weaponry left behind at the abandoned Ukrainian strongholds.

According to reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the captured equipment includes American-made M240 and M2 machine guns, NATO grenades, and anti-tank missile systems such as TOW and Javelin. A Russian platoon commander noted that the discovered weapons were primarily fast-firing types used for defensive purposes. He also remarked that the presence of TOW and Javelin systems suggests these munitions are becoming increasingly scarce on the battlefield.

The Russian military stated that controlling Chervona Krynytsia has allowed Vostok units to partially breach Ukrainian defenses and expand their area of control. This movement is intended to facilitate further advances and increase pressure on Ukrainian positions in Zaporizhzhia, specifically targeting the area of Orikhiv.
