Russia criticizes sanctions and asset freezes at G20 meeting
At the G20 foreign ministers meeting in Atlanta, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov presented a plan to maintain Russia's role as a leading supplier of energy, food, and fertilizers to global markets.
The Russian delegation issued a comprehensive assessment of actions they claim undermine international trade. These destructive methods include the interception of commercial fleets, the imposition of unilateral sanctions, and the freezing of state assets.
Russia also advocated for the development of its transport and logistics capacities, specifically highlighting the Northern Sea Route. Furthermore, the delegation called for a reform of the global economic governance system to support a multipolar world order and to combat neocolonial practices and unfair competition.
