Russia delivers new Su-57 stealth fighter jets to Aerospace Forces
The Russian Aerospace Forces have received a new batch of Su-57 fifth-generation stealth fighter jets. According to United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) CEO Vadim Badekha, the aircraft represents the best in its class and the delivery is part of a priority state procurement plan.
These latest aircraft feature a modified technical configuration. This update includes changes to onboard systems and weaponry designed to incorporate combat lessons learned from operational use, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The new configuration is intended to expand the mission capabilities of the Su-57 and allow for the integration of new weapon types.
Reports indicate that the total number of Su-57 jets delivered in 2026 has reached 16 units. This follows a significant delivery in January 2026. Under a 2019 government contract for 76 aircraft, Russia aims to equip three aviation regiments with the Su-57 by 2028.
