Russia Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov says Sarmat tests not aimed at strategic destabilisation

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Moscow views the Western reaction to recent tests of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic‑missile system as “quasi‑indifferent” and ironic. He emphasized that the tests are not intended to jeopardise strategic stability, adding that Russia will continue to demonstrate its capability to reassure the West.

The comments were made as part of a broader dialogue on Russia’s missile programme and its impact on international security.
