Russia donates ambulances and vehicles to Cuba

The government of Saint Petersburg has donated three ambulances and a Lada Iskra vehicle to Cuba to support medical services. The handover ceremony took place at the Ramón González Coro Gynecological-Obstetric Teaching Hospital in Havana.

The vehicles are designated for medical centers in Havana, Matanzas, and Santiago de Cuba, specifically to support maternal and child healthcare programs. The donation follows an agreement reached by Saint Petersburg Governor Aleksandr Beglov during a visit to the island.

Russian Ambassador to Cuba, Victor Koronelli, described the delivery as a humanitarian donation that demonstrates the friendship and solidarity between the two nations. Cuban health official Yagen Pomares Perez emphasized the significant value of the contribution for the country's maternal-infant care initiatives.
