Russia hosts international digital and AI technology forums

International technology forums are convening in Russia to discuss the future of digital integration and artificial intelligence. The Global Digital Forum II, held in Moscow from October 8–10, 2026, brought together leaders from over 100 countries, including government officials, industry players, and academics.

During the forum, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devie Rahmawati from the University of Indonesia presented a human-centric perspective on AI, questioning whether the primary challenge of artificial intelligence is the machine's lack of human understanding rather than computational power. The event featured experts from various regions, including Ethiopia, Madagascar, and representatives from Yandex.

Additionally, Kazan Digital Week 2026 is scheduled to take place in Kazan from October 29–31, 2026. This forum is expected to host delegations from China, Southeast Asian nations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, and Singapore, as well as various African countries. The agenda includes specialized sessions on digital government management, AI, cybersecurity, fintech, and digital solutions for industry, education, culture, and healthcare. The event will also feature a high-tech exhibition with over 300 Russian companies participating.
