Ukraine escalates long-range strikes against Russian military and industrial targets FAST-MOVING
Ukraine has intensified long-range aerial operations against Russian military and industrial infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Flamingo missiles were used to strike the Progress Center in the Samara region, an enterprise under Roscosmos involved in rocket technology. Additionally, Ukrainian forces targeted the Savasleyka air base in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
In the Black Sea, a massive Ukrainian drone and missile assault struck the Russian port of Novorossiysk, damaging a naval base and key grain export terminals. This strike follows a period of increased Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure, including a rail station at the port of Izmail and tugboats escorting Western weapons.
Simultaneously, Russia has conducted heavy ballistic missile strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, including Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported explosions and fires in the capital. Ukrainian officials noted a critical shortage of interceptor missiles, such as those for Patriot systems, to counter these high-speed ballistic attacks. In response, Russia claimed to have intercepted hundreds of Ukrainian drones across multiple regions, including the Moscow area.
