Russia leads global natural resource wealth as Chad reports highest anger levels

Data from Statista indicates that Russia holds the world's highest estimated value of natural resources, valued at approximately US$75 trillion. This wealth is derived from a diverse range of commodities, including natural gas, oil, coal, gold, timber, and rare earth minerals. The United States follows in second place with an estimated US$45 trillion in resources, such as coal, timber, natural gas, and various minerals, while Saudi Arabia ranks third with US$34.4 trillion.

Separately, the Gallup ‘State of the World’s Emotional Health 2025’ report reveals that Chad has the highest reported levels of anger globally. According to the survey, which interviewed over 145,000 people, 47% of respondents in Chad reported experiencing anger on the day prior to the interview. Other countries with high levels of reported anger include Jordan (46%) and Armenia (43%). Gallup notes that high levels of negative emotions often correlate with political instability, conflict, and humanitarian crises.
