This sudden movement is driven by widespread fears of a new military mobilization following reports from Ukrainian intelligence that Russia may call up hundreds of thousands of men by the end of the year.

While Russian officials, including UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya, have denied that any mass mobilization is planned or expected, several indicators have heightened public anxiety.
