Russia has reportedly offered a $20 million reward for information leading to the location of Robert 'Magyar' Brovdi, the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal and Ukrainian officials, the Kremlin is allegedly utilizing post-Soviet criminal networks to facilitate this bounty.

Brovdi, who has led the Unmanned Systems Forces since June 2025, has become a high-priority target due to the impact of Ukrainian drone operations. While the Unmanned Systems Forces represent only about 2.5% of the total Ukrainian military, Brovdi estimates the unit has been responsible for approximately one-third of Russian casualties over the past year.

Russian courts have previously convicted Brovdi in absentia on terrorism-related charges, sentencing him to decades in prison. Due to the heightened threat, Brovdi and his personnel operate under strict security protocols. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 79 members of his specific unit, known as 'Magyar's Birds,' have been killed.
