Russia receives new batch of upgraded Su-34 bombers
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered a new batch of Su-34 frontline bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces. This marks the second such delivery within the current year, following an initial shipment in July.
Produced at the Chkalov Aviation Plant in Novosibirsk, these aircraft underwent comprehensive ground and flight testing before being deployed. While the exact number of aircraft in this latest batch remains undisclosed due to information policies, visual evidence suggests the delivery includes between two and four units.
The Su-34 aircraft are being upgraded with new equipment, including antennas located behind the cockpit, which may indicate the integration of new communication systems or electronic warfare capabilities. These new models are intended to replace aircraft lost or damaged during the conflict in Ukraine, as well as those reaching the end of their operational lifespan due to high usage rates.
