Russia receives third batch of Su-35S fighter jets in 2026
The United Aircraft Corporation has delivered a third batch of Su-35S multirole fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces this year. While the exact number of aircraft in this August delivery was not disclosed, visual evidence shows at least two planes.
According to data from Defence24, Russia has received a total of 14 combat aircraft in 2026, including six Su-35S, four Su-57, two Su-34, and two Su-30SM2. This production rate appears to outpace reported losses, which include at least eight destroyed and two damaged aircraft based on open-source intelligence.
The Su-35S is a heavy, 4++ generation fighter capable of long-range air interception, drone combat, and ground attacks. Despite international sanctions limiting access to certain technologies, Russian assembly lines for these aircraft remain operational.
