Russia reports capturing five Ukrainian settlements and striking logistics hubs
The Russian Ministry of Defense has reported the capture of five settlements in Ukraine, including Loshakovo and Komissarovo in Kharkiv, Marievka and Gulevo in Donetsk, and Zelena Dibrova in Zaporizhzhia. Russian officials claim their forces are advancing rapidly, stating that over 5,300 square kilometers and 220 settlements have been taken since the beginning of the year.
In addition to territorial gains, Russia conducted drone strikes targeting Ukrainian military logistics and transport infrastructure. Reported targets include the Kopylov Logistic Park in the Kyiv region, a pontoon bridge over the Dniester River in Odesa, the port of Izmail, and cargo vessels in the Black Sea. The Russian Ministry of Defense characterized these strikes as responses to Ukrainian actions, targeting facilities linked to the military-industrial complex.
In the Odesa region, military governor Oleg Kiper reported Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure, which caused fires in administrative buildings and impacts on residential areas, a school, and vehicles. No immediate human casualties were reported from these specific strikes.
