Russia restricts three airports amid drone threats and oil terminal fire

Russia has implemented temporary flight restrictions at three airports located east and southeast of Moscow—Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk, and Nizhny Novgorod—following reports of potential Ukrainian drone incursions. The Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya, noted these measures were preventive security protocols to protect airport operations.

Simultaneously, reports indicate a fire has broken out at an oil terminal in the Rostov region, allegedly following a drone attack. While the full extent of the damage and any operational disruptions to the energy sector have not been independently confirmed, the incident highlights increasing pressure on Russian civil and energy infrastructure.
