Ukraine faces massive Russian strikes as Denmark accelerates military aid

Russia has launched extensive missile, drone, and artillery strikes across Ukraine, resulting in civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure in regions including Kharkiv, Kherson, and Dnipropetrovsk. Ukraine’s Air Force reported intercepting or jamming 141 targets during a massive overnight barrage involving 174 drones and Zircon anti-ship missiles.

In the Black Sea, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its Geran-4 Seeker drones struck two commercial vessels, including a dry cargo ship and a tanker in the port of Odesa, asserting they were carrying military supplies. One tanker in the Chernomorsk port was specifically identified as carrying fuel and lubricants for the Ukrainian military.

In response to a recent maritime incident where a Russian frigate fired signal flares toward a Danish military helicopter in international waters, Denmark is accelerating a 1.8 billion DKK ($276 million) aid package for Ukraine. The package is primarily intended to bolster Ukrainian air defenses. Danish officials stated that such provocations would only serve to increase their support for Ukraine.
